Copying XBOX Games the Easy Way

Sam Lockwood » 28 March 2009 » In PC Game » No Comments

It seems that while the vast majority of people nowadays are familiar with copying their music CDs, the same can’t be said about copying games. At least, this is the impression we get judging from the amount of questions we receive regarding the easiest way to copy Xbox games.

While the sole purpose of this article is to explain to our readers how they can copy Xbox games, we do need to highlight one fact first.

We are in no way encouraging our readers to make illegal copies, otherwise known as piracy. We are simply explaining how to make back-up copies, which is of course perfectly legal.

First of all, don’t expect any drawn out technical instructions because to the contrary, our instructions are suitable even for a novice. So, rather than waste any time, let’s go ahead and get started.

Perhaps you’re thinking that the best way to make copies of Xbox games, is to simply do it the same as you do with music CDs, and who could blame you for thinking this?

Copying music is vastly different to copying games and technology which is used to copy music, is simply not able to copy games.

Unless a computer can read the disc you want to copy, making a copy will be impossible, and this is exactly what game manufactures have relied on in the past, by incorporating sophisticated copyright protection into all their games which in essence, makes the disc impossible to read without a suitable program.

Recently, some software developers have designed programs for the sole purpose of making back-up copies of games. Having one of these programs installed allows your computer to get past the built-in protection, thus making this the easiest way to copy Xbox games.

After downloading and installing one of these programs, it’s plain sailing. Simply insert your game disc into your PC and click the copy tab which results is a copy of the disk being placed on the hard drive. Next, simply place a blank disk into your DVD-R and that’s it. Your computer will transfer your saved copy to the disc and you’ll be well on your way to copying XBOX games.

Before you start doubting this, we did refer to this earlier as copying XBOX games the easy way and as you can now see, it couldn’t get any easier than this.

A word of advice to all our readers is that you exercise some caution when you buy one of these programs. Buying from one of the top ranked sites, it should cost you no more than $40, so whatever you do, don’t pay any more than that, irrespective of what marketing ploys a site may use.

It’s fast, it’s easy, and it’s certainly the best way to copy Xbox games in order to make all the backup copies you need.

Here’s the way to get free xbox downloads

Tommy Paxton » 24 March 2009 » In PC Game » No Comments

Owners of Xboxes are well known for wanting the best system and the best gaming experience. After all, an Xbox 360 is a system that constantly offers great new features and is one of the most popular gaming systems there is, even with newer ones being released. We’re going to look at one of the best things about the Xbox today – the ability to download Xbox 360 games without having to head to the store.

This is a relatively recent improvement. After all, you didn’t use to be able to download more than a few games, and most of them were generally demos. Now you can download the full version of the newest games there are.

So, you may be asking yourself where you can download Xbox 360 games.

There are two basic options. One is a lot better than the other. We’ll start out with the first one, but it doesn’t come recommended.

There are quite a few websites out there claiming they have free Xbox 360 downloads to offer. Just download their software and install it on your computer and you’ll be able to take a look at the games available. That’s what they say, anyhow.

However, there’s a big problem with this plan. These unregulated websites are often filled with broken and mislabeled files, spyware, adware and viruses. Anyone with the software can upload a file, and that makes it easy to mislabel them. There are even cases where people have been caught uploading viruses on purpose.

Anyone who’s serious about getting Xbox 360 game downloads should look for membership type websites that offer downloads for a small fee. This is usually about forty to fifty dollars, and you’ll be able to log in and downloads you games whenever you choose.

Using these websites offers an enormous advantage. You won’t have to deal with viruses, since the files are monitored, and you know they aren’t mislabeled or broken games. Your membership will also give you the software required to burn these games onto a disk, allowing you to use them with your Xbox.

For only about forty dollars, that’s a pretty easy way to stay up to date on all the most recent games. There are even people who’ve given up buying games and only do downloads. They save a lot of money over legitimate games.

If you’re a gamer who loves trying out the latest and best games for your system, you might be interested in downloading Xbox 360 games. It’ll save you lots of money, and you can add new games easily without leaving the house.

6 Gifts For The Pink-Lover On Your List

DeeDee Dobson » 11 March 2009 » In Game Video » No Comments

Need a pink gift for that special someone? Look no further: I have put together a list of six great gifts that would make any pink-lover swoon. And if you happen to like the item but wish it wasn’t pink – no worries. Most of these come in other colors as well.

Weleda’s Rose Body Oil Containing only biodynamically grown ingredients from Weleda’s own gardens in Germany, this body oil softens your skin naturally without any artificial or toxic ingredients. The mix of musk rose, almond and jojoba oils helps your skin retain its moisture and elasticity, and smells great too (just the right amount of rose). It comes in a deep blue glass bottle with a hot pink label. Save it and use it as a rustic vase once you’ve used up the oil – it looks great with a single flower in it. Around $25.

Wine Opener The hot pink “Chic Lady” wine opener from L’Atelier du Vin deserves a place in any wine-drinking pink lover’s kitchen. At $44, it’s affordable enough that I personally would add a bottle of wine to go with it. Chateau De Segries Tavel Ros perhaps, in keeping with the pink theme. $44 for the opener and $17 for the wine.

Bialetti Cappuccino Maker If your pink-lover is into coffee, this one is sure to be a hit. With its black base, handle and top knob, pink upper half and lid, and Bialetti’s adorable logo, it’s so cute I’d keep it on my stove all the time. But it’s not all looks – it also makes delicious cappuccino right on your stovetop. Just put water in the base, coffee in the filter, milk in the top, and within minutes, you’ll have two cups of creamy, delicious cappuccino. Around $90.

Flip MinoHD Camcorder Electronics have come a long way from the days when everything only came in black or silver. But even so, sometimes you want to put your own touch on the design of your gadgets. Pure Digital Technologies lets you do that with their Flip MinoHD camcorder. They offer a huge variety of ready-made designs, but if you’d rather go with your own creation, you can either use their pattern maker to make up a brand new pattern, or upload a photo or design and have that printed on the camcorder. These cute little camcorders measure only 3.94″x1.97″x0.63″, weigh in at 3.3 oz., have a 1.5″ LCD, 4BG of built-in memory, a flip-out USB connector, 2x digital zoom, a tripod mount and an f/2.4 lens. $229.

TL9 Digital Camera Samsung’s cameras all come with great features and extras, but few are as tricked out as the TL9. This chic little camera comes in 3 colors (silver, black and pink) and manages to fit a multimedia player, camcorder, voice recorder, text viewer and MP3 player into its sleek body. The camera itself is nothing to sneeze at either. It has a 5x optical zoom, 10.2 MP, smile, blink and face recognition, dual image stabilization, a focal length of 38-190mm (35mm equivalent), and 11 difference scene modes. Retail price is around $240.

Cell Phones by Vertu Nokia-subsidiary Vertu operates out of a super-secure building in the English countryside, where expert craftsmen assemble these luxury phones by hand using precious metals and stones inside and out. Never heard of them? Most people haven’t, Vertu does not advertise in the US (but they are pretty widely available here).

Their Constellation collection includes the Core Range in polished stainless steel and bright pink leather, the Precious Range in black leather and 18 carat rose gold, and the Monogram Range’s “Cerise”, in stainless steel and a pink leather patterned back. All measure 4.3×1.7×0.6″, weigh around 5 oz, have Bluetooth email and speakers, and work in over 180 countries.

The Signature Diamonds collection has had a few eye popping designs in the past. A garish example was the “Cobra”, which had a cobra made out of rubies, diamonds and emeralds “slithering” around the face of the phone – not my cup of tea, but apparently a few people thought they were worth $310,000. At the moment, however, the pink offerings are very pretty and quite subdued: The “Rose Gold Pink Diamonds” and the “Rose Gold Pink Sapphires” are both encased in gold with the face framed by pink flowers (made from sapphires, rubies and diamonds). Both weigh 7.2 oz, have loudspeakers, voice recorders, work in 175 countries, and have 300 hours of standby and 3-9 hours talk time.

The most exclusive feature on these phones, however, is probably the “concierge button”. By pressing this little button (on the side of the phone), you reach a personal assistant, who can help you (24 hours a day) with everything from finding a perfect restaurant for a romantic dinner to arranging for a private jet so you don’t miss that important business meeting.

Chic Lady Wine Opener The unique “swing system” of the Chic Lady corkscrew from French company L’Atelier du Vin takes the struggle out of uncorking your wine. Softly curved and stylish, it comes in pale or hot pink and retails for around $44. If you’d like to include a bottle of wine with it, may I suggest Domaine de la Mordore La Dame Rousse ros?

Bialetti Cappuccino Maker If your pink-lover is into coffee, this one is sure to be a hit. With its black base, handle and top knob, pink upper half and lid, and Bialetti’s adorable logo, it’s so cute I’d keep it on my stove all the time. But it’s not all looks – it also makes delicious cappuccino right on your stovetop. Just put water in the base, coffee in the filter, milk in the top, and within minutes, you’ll have two cups of creamy, delicious cappuccino. Around $90.

Flip Video MinoHD Is it the world’s smallest camcorder? No (Spy Gadgets sells one the size of a stick of gum), but it’s still tiny: it only measures 3.94″x1.97″x0.63″ and weighs 3.3oz. And it is definitely the cutest – you get to design it. There are tons of existing styles to choose from, but you can also create your own pattern, or even upload a photo and use that! A few important specs: 4GB memory, internal rechargeable battery, built in USB connector, 1.5″ LCD screen, ultra-low light sensitivity, 2x digital zoom, f/2.4 lens, tripod mount. $209-$229.

Samsung TL9 Digital Camera The metallic bubblegum pink Samsung TL9 is not only a great little camera; it’s also a jack-of-all-trades. Packed into its stylish body are also MP3 and multimedia players, a text viewer, camcorder, and voice recorder. The camera part features 10.2 megapixles, a 5x optical zoom, a (35mm equivalent) focal length of 38 ~ 190mm, dual image stabilization, face, smile and blink detection, and a beauty shot mode which automatically retouches facial skin. Dashboard-style dials tell you how much battery life and memory you have left. It’s tiny too: 3.7×2.3×0.8″ and 4.9 oz. $229-$253.

Vertu Cell Phones Not widely known in the US, these handmade cell phones from UK-based Vertu (a subsidiary of Nokia) are uber-stylish gadgets that would make any Valentine gasp with delight.

Their Constellation lineup includes 3 pink phones: The Core Range Pink, the Monogram Cerise (both with stainless steel fronts and pink leather backs), and the Precious Range (18k rose gold and black leather) all measure 4.3×1.7×0.6″ and weigh around 5 oz. They have 5.5 hours of talk and 400 hours of standby time, quadband GSM coverage in over 180 countries, web browser, and Bluetooth email.

Both weigh 7.2 oz, have loudspeakers, voice recorders, work in 175 countries, and have 300 hours of standby and 3-9 hours talk time.

But wait, there’s more! All Vertu phones have a special “concierge” button, which when pressed puts you in touch with a personal assistant who can give you advice (in several languages) on restaurants, events, travel, accommodations and entertainment. 24 hours a day. $6,900 and up.
