A few months ago a friend entered my apartment to announce that he has decided to perform a very important investment for our future in entertainment. I remained calmly at my sit waiting for him to continue and explain how lucky he was as he managed to find an incredible deal over the internet for the newest version of PlayStation 2. Frankly, I could not believe my ears. I have never played PlayStation in the past and the last video game I have played with my friends when I was still a kid, was an old version of Atari. I could not grasp how someone over twenty-five would pay any amount to become another of those inert players stack in front of their TV screens for hours or even days. But the experience I had when PlayStation 2 entered the premises of my house was not exactly as the one I originally imagined. PlayStation has proven to be an extremely fun and instructive gaming experience. After the first couple of weeks I realized that when someone knows how to keep a balanced life it is possible to spend time exploring this unique gaming experience without the feeling of guilt.

Produced by Sony Computer Entertainment, PlayStation 2 is the successor of the original PlayStation console that has been a tremendous worldwide success since its original introduction. I don’t understand why the US Army has a hard time filling its ranks. I understand we are a nation at war, but not all Soldiers deploy. I know Army personnel that has been in the Army for 20 years and have yet to deploy. And yes if your a grunt you will probably deploy more than your counter parts. But what I don;t understand is that in the last big war, we had millions of young Americans lining up to join the Army. Some even lied about there age to join. What happened to that selfless service that this nation use to have? Are we a nation of citizens that thinks as individuals rather than a collective nation. Americans have short memories, and we have forgotten our history. We are very fortunate to never have been invaded, no other nation can lay to that claim. With that being said, I did some research and found out that the Army is offering some great incentives to enlist the aid of the citizens of this nation to carry us as a dominate force into the future.

1st-Money for College or to pay off College Loans: What other nation on this earth offers this type of incentives?

College Loan Repayment

The Army’s College Loan Repayment program allows you to pay off your federally insured student loans when you enlist in the Army in a qualifying job. To be eligible, you must enlist for three years on Active Duty or six years in the Army Reserve, and your loan status must not be in default. For Active Duty Soldiers, you can receive up to $65,000 to repay your college loans. For Army Reserve Soldiers, you can receive up to $20,000 to repay your college loans. The following loans qualify for the Army’s loan repayment program:

The Army College Fund (ACF) is an enlistment incentive option designed to aid in the recruitment of highly qualified soldiers for critical or shortage Military Occupational Specialties (MOS). The ACF supplements the basic Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) entitlement, and awards up to $50,000 in education benefits to those engaged in such critical specialties.

To take advantage of this program, you must enlist for the GI Bill and ACF option. To participate, you must meet MGIB eligibility criteria, have an Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) score of 50 or above, be a high school diploma graduate prior to entry on active duty, and enlist for a qualifying military occupational specialty (MOS). Benefits will vary depending on your enlistment term.

Enlistment Bonuses

There are many benefits to joining the Armed Forces, but few directly affect your pay as much as enlistment bonuses. In fact, if you enlist in military you may be eligible for up to $40,000 in cash bonuses.

Yes I understand you can get hurt or killed by joining the Army, but look around you can die from many other occupations and from walking across the street. A few weeks ago I bought GTA IV hoping for an amazing game, after reading all the reviews that gave it perfect scores. Well… I did get an amazing game! The problem is, I really don’t think that it is the most amazingnest (you heard me) game in the series. I really believe that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the best game in the GTA series.

Don’t get me wrong, GTA IV is a great game…

Obviously, GTA IV is a fantastic game. The game looks great, sounds great, and plays very smoothly. I don’t want to blab on about how good GTA IV is, you can read a review if you want that. I really want to explain why it’s not as good as San Andreas.

So here are 2 reasons why GTA IV is not as good as GTA San Andreas:

1. Scope:

GTA IV takes place in a city setting, smaller than the setting in San Andreas. However, its not the size of the map that makes me like San Andreas better, it’s the variety. In IV, you’ve got city, city, city… just city. In San Andreas, you’ve got city, desert, country, woods, mountain, secret-military-base, etc. You even have 3 very different feeling cities.

As you move along in San Andreas, it really feels like you are traveling across a state, visiting completely different landscapes and people. It really feels like you are progressing through life (as corny as that sounds). In GTA IV, it doesn’t feel the same. It’s more like you are just moving around a city, without much variety.

Carl Johnson could kick Nico Bellic’s ass! Well, at least his GAME could.

2. Story:

The story in GTA IV, while interesting, doesn’t match San Andreas’. I just think the characters are much more developed and interesting, and this drives the story to be more compelling. Samuel L Jackson is one of the voices in San Andreas, I mean, come on!

In San Andreas, the story is what drives the game. Gang wars and side stuff are fun, but what really makes you want to keep playing is the story. The fact that the story is constantly moving to different cities and landscapes makes it even more interesting. In GTA IV, the story is somewhat interesting, but I don’t think it drives the game as much as the extra stuff tries too.

So there you have it, Grand Theft Auto IV is a fantastic game, however its just not as good as Grand Theft Auto San Andreas because of the scope and story of the game, and because of one Samuel L Jackson.

Video games suppliers were already doing business in the internet without video games distributors during the early years of the video game business in the internet. During those early years there were only two players in the video games business: the video games suppliers and the video games retailers. In terms of effort, it is the wholesaler distributor who is tasked with the burden in making sure that the video games will be popular with players. But in terms of profit, he also has the most to gain because of the volume of transaction that he handles among the video game retailers that he supplies.

In a sense, video game distributors have the freedom to be retailers as an additional option to maximize profitability while video game suppliers would be more than happy seeing their products well marketed by video game distributors. It is also the only game console that able to act as Bluray disc player in the market now. What is a Bluray Disc player? It is similar to the DVD players that most of us know, just that it use to run Bluray disc.

A piece of bluray disc can save data up to 54 Gigs whereby normal double layer DVD disc can only save data up to 9 Gigs.

In shorts, by having more storage space in the Bluray disc, it can carry 6 times more data than the DVD we use now; which able to contribute high definition effects to the TV pictures that shown on the screen.

It is better to get 60GB console if this is your first playstation console since there are also quite a few of nice PS1 and PS2 games that worth to play.

You will not getting bored with a single game since your opponent have turn into smart humans; and game developers are happy as well since they just need to maintain their game server and no need to worry the pirated copy of the PS3 games to exist.

bob’s game – a game by one person

This is my game for Nintendo DS, a 20-hour-long retail-size,
retail-quality adventure title by a single human being.

“bob’s game” is a simple 2D adventure game with focus on story, puzzles, items, and communication.
Many characters have deep personalities that evolve, and many events depend on the in-game time and day.

It’s the game I wanted to play when I was younger, a vision I’ve been following since then.

this game is a sort of masterpiece for me.
I’ve invested well over 15,000 hours into this game’s development over five years. That is no exaggeration.
All concepts, story, code, sprites, tiles, music, samples,
fonts, etc. were created entirely by me from scratch.

It’s programmed in straight C- originally for the GameBoy Advance in mid 2003. As soon as the DS came out I jumped at the chance to use the new touchscreen and features and ported right over.

I’m proud of my work, and I’m sure that shows-
I have a lot of passion for what I do.
I believe that in some cases “too many cooks spoil the broth.”
In my opinion, the best games are the ones designed by one guy with a vision.
In this case, it can’t be any more pure or true than that.

Classes are also offered in a variety of different specialties aimed to make individuals marketable in a variety of different fields. Students learn essential computer skills such as Photoshop, animation and cinematography. However, these computer skills are also important skills in different career fields, therefore opening numerous opportunities to graduates in this specific program

Upon completion of a video game design program, students can work for numerous different companies. Design companies are constantly looking for fresh thinkers and creative individuals to take their video games to new levels. Students in design programs learn how to conceptualize, design and plan animations and video games. They also learn how to produce and evolve character models and design levels in video games. Along with these important video game skills, students also learn marketing, business and entertainment law to make them a well-rounded candidate.

With a video game design degree, students can not only use their imaginations to create games, but they can also manage the production of games or be a critic with the skills they learn through this particular program. What was once thought of as simply entertainment has become an increasing popular industry.
